Among Us
Overview
This was a game redesign project where my team reskinned "Among Us" into a new game called "Bee? Wasp? Who?" Inspired by real life, the game revolves around wasps infiltrating bee colonies. Players take on one of four roles: the Queen, the Worker, the Wasp, or the Bodyguard, with the Queen playing a pivotal role in the gameplay. My responsibilities included designing the environment, tasks, and game interface, ensuring they followed the agreed-upon art direction. The goal was to create a cohesive and immersive experience that reflected the unique bee-versus-wasp theme.

The Challenge
As part of a group project, reskinning "Among Us" into "Bee? Wasp? Who?" required adapting roles and tasks to fit the bee-versus-wasp theme while keeping gameplay intuitive. Designing a cohesive environment and interface that aligned with the team's art direction was challenging, especially with the intricate details of the beehive setting. Coordinating with the group to ensure consistency added another layer of complexity.
The Solution
I reimagined tasks and roles based on real-life bee and wasp behaviors, such as gathering nectar or defending the hive, to make gameplay immersive and thematic. For the environment and interface, I focused on clean visuals and intuitive navigation, refining designs through testing. Regular collaboration and feedback sessions with the team ensured my work aligned with the overall vision and contributed to a polished final product.
