Overview
Several design techniques were used to direct the player's eyes toward the temple on the left. This included incorporating natural elements like curved shorelines and pathways that subtly guide exploration, as well as a tree on the right that acts as the foreground, with its leaves naturally pointing toward the temple to subtly lead the player’s gaze. The environment blends the serene life of the seaside with the intrigue of a long-lost mystery, creating an inviting yet adventurous experience for players.

The Challenge
Ensuring the player’s focus naturally gravitated toward the temple while maintaining an immersive environment was a key challenge. Elements such as the tree, lighthouse, and boats needed to feel authentic to the setting while also subtly guiding the player. Additionally, positioning the tree in the foreground to frame the temple required careful attention to perspective and scale to achieve a seamless and intentional composition.
The Solution
To address these challenges, I utilized natural visual cues such as curved shorelines and pathways to guide players toward the temple. The tree was strategically placed in the foreground, with its leaves directing attention subtly to the focal point. The lighthouse served both as a practical structure and a narrative device, enhancing immersion while drawing players toward the temple. Iterative testing and adjustments ensured the design elements balanced visual clarity, functionality, and an engaging player experience.
