Overview
Working on Zenless Zone Zero was challenging due to the game's unreleased status, which left me with limited resources and references to ensure my designs fit seamlessly into the world. As it was my first time creating a character, I had to navigate the complexities of designing a visually appealing concept while also considering how to integrate them into the game’s narrative and mechanics. Additionally, learning 3D modeling from scratch using ZBrush presented a steep learning curve, as I had to familiarize myself with the software’s tools and workflows to bring my character to life in 3D.

The Challenge
To overcome these challenges, I conducted extensive research by studying trailers, teasers, and similar games to infer design elements and ensure my work aligned with the game’s aesthetic. For character design, I explored design principles, sketched multiple concepts, and iterated frequently to refine my ideas. To tackle ZBrush, I utilized community resources such as tutorials, forums, and guides while experimenting with the software through trial and error, which allowed me to quickly grasp essential techniques and produce a detailed 3D model.
